I interviewed in formats that felt less like a traditional software interview and more like career-fair conversations or quick technical assessments. Some sessions were brief but focused heavily on concepts.
At the career fair, I had a general conversation about my resume followed by technical concept questions. The interviewer asked whether I knew specific ideas.
After that initial discussion, I moved into a written, pen-and-paper technical portion with a more traditional problem format. I also completed a short in-person assignment with quick technical checks. The questions came one at a time and covered electronics topics such as op-amps, transistors, and other device-related knowledge. I might not finish everything.
Some rounds were mainly HR or administrative and focused on logistics such as compensation rather than deep technical evaluation. I didn't receive an offer. My takeaway was that knowing concepts on the spot mattered a lot in these formats.
