Hexaware Software Engineer Interview Experience: an uncomfortable virtual interview

My first impression of the Hexaware virtual interview was not good at all. I joined the online interview with my screen shared, and I was thrown off when the interviewer did not turn on their own camera. That small thing quickly set the tone for the rest of the session.

When I got stuck trying to understand a question, the interviewer showed little patience and would not really walk through it when I asked for clarification. They were also strict about me keeping my camera on, which made the power dynamic feel even more uncomfortable. Overall, it was the rudest interview experience I had ever faced.

I did not progress. It was not because I could not attempt the work. The interaction itself made it hard to engage constructively. I was left with a strong negative impression because of the lack of courtesy and explanation when I needed it.

Location: Toronto, ON. Overall feedback: Negative. Offer status: No offer.
