After a recruiter stage, I had an online interview that began with introductions and an explanation of the role's work. The technical part was tied to the systems they actually use. I spent much of it explaining snippets from their codebase and talking through what the code did.
The interview also covered analog-oriented subjects such as circuitry and filters, framed around my Computer Science background. When the questioning paused, I could ask about the company, industry, and day-to-day role, and their answers helped me understand the job.
It was moderately difficult rather than a gotcha coding exercise. The structure stayed consistent: context, technical discussion, then my questions.
Location: United States. Overall feedback: Negative. Offer status: No offer.
