Molex Software Engineer three-step fundamentals and resume interview

After I was shortlisted, I went through three stages: a technical round, an advanced technical round, and an HR conversation. Every stage came back to engineering fundamentals and my resume. How I explained my work and approached a problem seemed to matter as much as the answer itself.

The technical rounds were tied to my projects, tools, and claimed skills rather than random puzzles. They felt average in difficulty, though they still tested depth. The advanced round stayed on fundamentals and my reasoning, not just whether I knew the right keywords.

The HR conversation assessed personality, confidence, and fit alongside the resume story I had told. I did not receive an offer. The process was consistent from round to round and rewarded clear communication more than any trick question.

Location: Bengaluru. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: no offer.
