I had a conversation with a manager and engineers focused on C++ and general software-engineering knowledge. HR and the manager were in the room together, and the technical discussion felt grounded in what engineers actually do, at least to me. There were also telecom questions. That caught me off guard because telecom was new to me, but it did not feel as if they were trying to trick me.
Another part of the experience had a similar rhythm. I spoke with a small panel of a hiring manager and senior developers. We started with my previous role and tied it directly to the job description. The tone was interactive, with back-and-forth questions instead of a dry Q&A. I finished feeling that the difficulty was reasonable and that the discussion stayed on the topics that mattered, even with the telecom gap in my knowledge.
