After a recruiter screen of about 30 minutes, I had a longer hiring-manager conversation of roughly an hour. It centered on how I ran deals: sales methodology, deal cycles, and handling objections.
The final stage stood out most. In a panel, I performed a mock cold call or role-play and then gave a deeper walkthrough of past numbers. That round was the most demanding, and it felt closest to testing whether I could actually perform in a sales setting.
The process moved clearly from background and quota attainment to methodology and then a simulated call. I did not receive an offer. The questions felt fair, but the panel was where the pressure was most visible.
Location: Virginia Beach, VA. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
