My process was long and structured: a recruiter screen, a cognitive-style test, a home task, a case interview, a bar raiser, and a team-fit stage. The recruiter did a fair amount of preparation between rounds and kept things moving, although there were hiccups. Interviews could start more than 10 minutes late without much notice.
The bar raiser was much shorter than I expected. Parts of the process felt manageable, but timing and details still seemed to matter, especially in the team-fit stage. I received an offer, yet the final stretch was tense. There was almost no space to negotiate and little flexibility on the start date, compensation, or sign-on bonus.
What stayed with me was that compensation or starting level could be changed during the process, usually downward, without a clear reason. I ended up taking it, but the organized start did not erase the red flags. The lateness and lack of negotiation room made me question how seriously they treated a candidate's position once decisions were being made.
