A few business days after applying, I received an interview invitation and began with a HireVue-style recording. It was highly automated: I read behavioral prompts and had a small window to record each answer on camera. I could redo answers a couple of times, but there was no interaction or sense of whether my answers landed.
Near the end, the same session included coding. I could not ask clarifying questions, and the editor was a plain text area around pre-existing code with little context. Understanding how to structure a submission in that template took longer than the actual problem. I completed it and passed the test cases.
Afterward, I never heard back. The silence hurt, but it also made clear that the process was optimized to filter many applicants quickly, not provide useful feedback. I was more disappointed by the experience than by my performance, and did not feel too bad about moving on.
Location: United States. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
