My recruiter conversation covered my background, experience and interest in Rockstar. A little later, I met members of the Community team for a deeper interview about community management and creator relationships. We worked through ways to handle issues in the FiveM and RedM communities.

The next step was a timed written assessment on CoderPad. It covered more than coding: I responded to community-management scenarios and wrote content for creators and the community. I then had a more conversational interview with senior Community Operations staff. We discussed my previous work, problem solving, collaboration and why gaming communities mattered to me.

The people I met were professional and welcoming, which made the interviews less intimidating. The timeline was the frustrating part: about 11 weeks in all. I was told to expect an update the next week, but I had to reach out after two weeks of silence. I was rejected. I felt I'd put in the work, and the waiting and poor communication made the ending harder than it needed to be.

Location: London, England. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
