Sargent & Lundy Software Engineer interview experience: a long repetitive loop

Sargent & Lundy·Software Engineer·Reported Jul 2026
Easy

The process felt longer and less efficient than it needed to be. I had four back-to-back interviews that lasted more than 2 to 3 hours. The hiring manager, whom I expected to be on the schedule, never appeared. That made the setup feel disorganized and disrespectful.

Several interviewers seemed disengaged, and the conversations had very little energy. Different people asked the same questions about my background and experience, which made it seem as if they were going through the motions instead of actively evaluating me.

Given the time commitment and poor coordination, the process did not feel like a respectful exchange. I did not receive an offer. More than the outcome, the discouraging atmosphere was what disappointed me.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
