After I cleared an initial online assessment, my next step was a 60-minute live coding interview. I was surprised that it wasn't a traditional algorithm question. Instead, I had to implement a unique card game with enough rules to turn it into a real build exercise. I had to translate the problem into working code, and the time limit forced me to stay organized.
I passed that round and moved into what was described as a virtual onsite with five interviews. The split was mostly technical and behavioral, with three technical sessions and two behavioral ones. I was told I'd be evaluated on both how I implemented the solution and how I communicated and fit with the team.
I was still waiting at the time of my last update, so I didn't have a final decision yet. The hardest part for me wasn't the coding itself. It was becoming fully confident that I understood the game rules and could implement all the edge cases quickly enough.
