My experience started with a scheduling mess and became an uncomfortable call. I told HR in advance that I would be overseas and might have an unstable connection because I would need a VPN. The first part of the interview was choppy, although it eventually stabilized.
I could not shake how the hiring manager reacted. They seemed visibly impatient and annoyed throughout, and when I asked questions, I felt dismissed. I saw eye rolling instead of a normal conversation. It got to the point where I wanted to drop off, and the call ended without even a basic thank-you.
HR coordination was rough too. I had been told I was free in the Thursday and Friday window before flying out, but no invitation arrived, so I had to make leave decisions and was effectively ghosted until the following Tuesday. Later, the interview was cancelled at the end of the day because I did not receive a WhatsApp rescheduling message sent the day before. It did not feel professional or reliable.
I did not receive an offer. Even though the technical questions were standard, the interpersonal tone and communication failures made this the hardest process for me. It also made me wonder what working under that management style would be like.
Location: Singapore. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
