The recruiter-to-technical flow was fairly standard, but it became a full evaluation cycle. It started with HR or cultural fit, followed by technical conversations with team members. In one technical discussion, I spoke directly about prior jobs while several people listened and occasionally joined in.
Later rounds demanded deeper understanding and clearer communication. The hiring manager was involved, and one step required a presentation to a panel followed by questions. The onsite portion included several engineering team members, manager involvement, and a tour in the middle of the process.
The process had several stages across at least a couple of phases, with one-on-one and panel questioning. Difficulty ranged from average to difficult by round, but the consistent requirement was technical clarity rather than vague summaries. I did not get an offer. What stayed with me was the focus on explaining my work while others actively listened and challenged details, rather than answering in a vacuum.
