The process started with scheduling, and it quickly became clear that it wasn't being handled with much care. The recruiter didn't show up for the originally scheduled interview at all. After I reached out to reschedule, I didn't get a real response. I joined the rescheduled call anyway, only for the recruiter to arrive late and act as if the situation was an inconvenience rather than something they needed to fix.
After that, things went quiet for more than 10 days, and my follow-ups weren't answered. I eventually received an automated rejection without any explanation, which left me wondering whether I had even been considered for the role correctly. Similar scheduling problems came up elsewhere too, including calls being moved repeatedly, missed join times, and abrupt automated emails that cut off communication.
The administrative mess was only part of the problem. At times, the process seemed poorly aligned across teams, as if important details about my background hadn't been shared properly with the hiring manager. The evaluation also seemed to depend on narrow expectations around a specific prior project.
I didn't get an offer. The hardest part to swallow wasn't just the rejection. It was how disrespectfully my time was handled and how disorganized the process felt from start to finish.
