After speaking with a recruiter, I had a fairly relaxed technical conversation about core electronics and networking fundamentals. We covered basic electronic concepts, then the OSI and TCP/IP models, common networking protocols, and usual networking tools. A substantial part of the discussion was my project: how I implemented it, what problems came up, and what I personally contributed.
They wanted me to connect theory to traffic behavior. I was asked to walk through network traffic and packet flow, explain how protocols behave, and discuss basic monitoring and troubleshooting.
The difficulty felt manageable. The conversation was more about clarity and understanding than trick questions, and it was straightforward and easy to follow even though I did not get an offer.
