Then the discussion moved into Java and operating systems, with extra attention to multithreading. It felt like they wanted to know whether I could handle core programming topics and understand concurrency and OS ideas, rather than just repeat theory. I left feeling that the round targeted the basics directly, even though it was still competitive.
