The process had several structured rounds that kept returning to my background and projects. It began with an HR call and then moved to conversations about my work experience. In those technical-adjacent discussions, they referred back to my slides, pulled out particular projects, and asked me to explain what I had done and how it related to the role.
Meeting the engineering manager was a major part of the process. I expanded on projects that matched the position’s subject area, and they left room for my own questions at the end. That made it feel like a two-way conversation instead of a rapid interrogation.
The tone remained welcoming and relaxed while they considered technical and theoretical understanding, leadership, and how I dealt with difficult situations. I did not get an offer, but I felt the interviews were coherent and that they were trying to understand my fit.
