The Realreal Account Executive interview: role play and sales feedback

After speaking with the recruiter, I had a video interview with two team members that lasted about three quarters of an hour. They explained what the role expected, discussed my sales background and how I would approach the job, and left room for my questions. It was structured without feeling hostile, and I had time to think through my answers.

Some conversations went into how quickly I would ramp up, how I build and maintain customer relationships, and how I handle conflict through problem-solving examples. In a role play, I was not sure how much detail they wanted. The feedback afterward was specific: I could have asked the client more questions and pursued upselling more confidently.

The process felt organized and guided even though I was not offered the job. Later steps also set direct expectations about the work rhythm. I noticed that once an offer became real, the timeline to accept could become urgent, which made me think carefully about whether I wanted that commitment.

Location: Miami, FL. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
