After applying, I had a recruiter phone screen about my background and how my sales experience would translate to the role. The questions were standard: why I wanted the job, how I would help customers, and how I handled objections or difficult situations. There was strong emphasis on confidence, being self-starting, and giving a detailed example of pushing past a customer objection and how the sale unfolded.
Then I met with a store manager and later a district manager. The process felt quick and organized. Their behavioral questions asked for decision-making and what I did in the moment. Some rounds used realistic scenarios about how I would approach customer and objection situations. The atmosphere was often warm and relaxed, like a conversation with questions mixed in.
It did not feel especially difficult, though a couple of people mentioned follow-ups and timing that missed expectations. I also noticed mixed feelings among people I talked to about the company’s leadership and compensation messaging, even when interviews themselves were straightforward. I did not end up accepting the role. The format was easy to talk through, but uncertainty around communication and job realities left me less confident than expected.
