A recruiter contacted me because a portfolio manager was interested. My initial interview spent about forty-five minutes on projects and fifteen on technical questions. These covered training and test correlations in linear regression, correlations within and across groups, constraints among three correlated variables, and conditional probability in a six-chamber revolver puzzle.
A few days later, I was invited to further interviews with the team. One project and research discussion was enjoyable. In another, I was asked to explain a paper but felt repeatedly interrupted before I could finish. Some questions seemed unclear, and I struggled with the interviewer's interpretation of my answers. I received a rejection afterward.
