UST Software Engineer Interview Experience: Multiple rounds followed by silence

My experience began with virtual interviews and turned into a frustrating stretch of silence. I had a video technical interview with a technical lead and team members, with HR and resources human involved in the same interview. I expected follow-up calls afterward, but contact was intermittent and eventually stopped.

I never received a clear acceptance or rejection update, even after spending substantial time and effort. I completed multiple rounds, including a face-to-face part of the overall loop, and it cost me time and money to participate. What stayed with me was the lack of basic communication afterward.

Regardless of difficulty, it became demoralizing because it did not close the loop. I felt the biggest failure was not the technical outcome but the ghosting and lack of a proper status update. That lack of professionalism overshadowed everything else.
