Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: broad technical and reasoning questions

My interview lasted more than an hour. It covered DSA, system design, computer science concepts, communication, puzzles, and teaser-style questions. The puzzles surprised me because they were not limited to coding or design; they tested how I thought with ambiguity. The conversation reached into math-leaning prompts, conceptual reasoning, and how clearly I could explain myself while solving. It f…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: a three-hour competitive-programming OA

The online assessment had four CP and DSA coding questions and took around three hours. It felt medium to hard, mainly because I had to stay consistent through a full block of problems. I then moved directly into an interview round with the same general tone. The questions were still tough, and they seemed to expect comfort with competitive-style problem solving, not only textbook DSA. The proces…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: college-lab coding and technical depth

Both rounds happened back to back, around an hour each. The first was an online coding session in a college-lab setting with medium-to-hard DSA questions. They went beyond basic practice problems, but the pace still felt manageable. The second was a deeper technical discussion of core CS, DSA, and system design. The interviewer examined my resume and projects closely, including AI-related areas a…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: load testing and monitoring

I had two rounds that were mainly technical but included behavioral questions. Both focused on performance bottlenecks, including how I approached load testing, used monitoring tools, and understood the result of the latest test. I needed to explain troubleshooting logic, not just name tools. The second conversation followed the same pattern. It felt fair and direct, and it matched the kind of wo…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: projects and ML in an HR round

I started with a medium-difficulty aptitude round and then had an HR conversation. We discussed my projects and the ML concepts on my resume. Much of it became behavioral, with the interviewer asking for examples from work rather than checking technical vocabulary in isolation. The process felt organized and comfortable. I could connect my experience to the role, and the questions followed the st…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: production, security, and cloud depth

This process was demanding and centered on systems and production thinking. I first handled several system-design tasks, then discussed my resume and worked through in-person DSA questions at about medium LeetCode or CodeChef level. There were also cryptography questions and deployment-like scenarios. Another comparable technical deep dive began with a DSA written test and pushed further into pro…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: four DSA questions and system design

The process had three clear rounds. First came four DSA questions, described as easy, medium, hard, and complex. Clearing that programming round determined whether I moved forward. Then I was given system-design tasks and had to design solutions rather than list technologies. The final technical round tied the DSA and design themes together and also went into my background. The interviewers were…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: early offer and smooth onboarding

The process felt unusually smooth from start to finish, and the offer came early. The interview was straightforward, and onboarding afterward was seamless. Training would start from scratch, so I did not feel judged for not having everything ready on day one. I also remember the Mysuru campus as green and calm, which made the experience less stressful than expected. The atmosphere around training…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: SQL, coin change, and system design

The interview began with a booking-data SQL problem involving filtering and aggregation, then moved to a coin-change DSA exercise. It also covered dependency injection and a design-flavored RAG-with-images question. Later I got a MySQL system-design and scaling question, so it was not only coding. I had to reason about architecture and tradeoffs. We also covered resume-aligned framework concepts…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: Wingspan coding and complexity

My process began with an online coding assessment on the Wingspan platform. I had to solve a programming problem within the time limit. Once I cleared it, I moved into a technical interview where I explained DSA approaches, time and space complexity, and possible optimizations. The interviewer connected the discussion to my resume. We talked in depth about projects so I could show I understood wh…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: two coding rounds before DSE offer

My process had three rounds in a clear order. First came the OA coding stage, then another coding round, and finally a one-on-one technical interview. The OA tested problem-solving. In the live coding stage I received two questions and had to complete one within the time limit. After I cleared coding and was shortlisted, the one-on-one interview became a deeper technical discussion. Earlier DSA q…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: HackWithInfy DSA and DBMS

After a HackWithInfy coding round, I reached the live technical stage. The questions combined medium DSA with practical topics. I coded a couple of problems, with options to choose from, then handled data-structure and database questions. The DSA material included sorting, searching, knapsack, sliding windows, and string manipulation. I also got SQL and general DB questions, and had to explain my…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: Power Apps and learning

My process had three rounds: technical, managerial, and HR. The difficulty was average to difficult, and the structure was clear from the start. The second round focused on how I would approach and learn new skills based on earlier project experience. The technical questions used real Power Apps scenarios, making the conversation more practical than a purely theoretical discussion. I did not rece…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: Java, DBMS, and projects

The process was smooth: an assessment round, then a panel interview. The environment was comfortable and the interviewer was polite, which made it easier to focus. The technical discussion covered Java and OOP, DBMS and SQL, operating systems, and computer networks. I also talked about projects, internship experience, and how I approached problem-solving. The questions were not overly obscure. Th…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: calm core-subject and IoT discussion

The interview was calm and structured because the interviewer was friendly and patient. Questions began with basics and gradually went deeper through core subjects. Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: Hackwithinfy coding rounds

The process was framed as a Hackwithinfy hackathon, although it did not feel like a typical hackathon. I completed six coding questions across two rounds on two separate days, with MCQs mixed in. Clearing those rounds led to an in-person interview. That interview returned to coding, added a moderate SQL segment, and included system design discussion. The process stayed coding-heavy until the in-p…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
