Axon Interview Questions
System design dominates Axon's 20 questions in a way it does not on most company pages: 8 are design prompts against 3 coding problems, and the designs come straight out of the product. You are asked to build the upload path for camera footage while preserving chain of custody, to design a device logging system that keeps recording while offline and reconciles when a connection returns, and to work out which devices a user can reach through nested group memberships. The one heavyweight coding question pairs encryption with a set supporting constant-time random selection. Behavioural weight is unusually high for a bank this size: 4 questions cover career path, leadership impact and tough self-awareness prompts, so this is not a loop you can pass on algorithms alone. 16 of the 20 came from Software Engineer candidates, 13 from technical screens and 4 from onsites. 14 are medium, 3 hard, and 14 carry a written solution, while only 3 open a console, which follows from how little of this interview is live coding.
