My process began with a recruiter screen and then a one-hour technical screen split between behavioral questions and coding. It immediately tested whether I could communicate while solving.
The final loop had five interviews. In the first three, I solved data-structures-and-algorithms problems in a shared coding environment while explaining my approach, then answered behavioral questions about Amazon leadership principles with STAR-style examples. Each of those rounds ended with a few minutes for my questions. Another round was behavioral only, with deep follow-ups on my decisions and results.
The process felt very difficult because I had to sustain live coding and leadership stories across so many interviews. I did not get an offer, and the hardest part was keeping my explanations and outcomes crisp throughout.
Location: Canada. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
