The Amazon interview split its emphasis between coding and leadership principles. I handled three coding problems: two medium and one hard. They assessed correctness, data-structures-and-algorithms use, code quality, and how clearly I explained my approach.
The behavioral questions focused heavily on leadership principles. I used STAR to set out the situation, task, actions, and result, with measurable outcomes when I could. They followed up on my examples as if testing whether I understood the impact of my decisions.
The difficulty felt average. I did not receive an offer, but the process was clear about what it valued: communication, ownership, and reasoning in both coding and behavioral prompts.
Location: Hyderābād. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: no offer.
