I entered the process expecting something aligned with the role, but it quickly felt disrespectful and poorly scoped. During the interview, the recruiter seemed impatient and interrupted my answers, moving to other topics before I could finish. That made it difficult to stay comfortable.
Although the job was described as junior, the expectations felt closer to full mastery of advanced technologies and a broader range of work than frontend development alone. Compensation and role level also seemed mismatched. At one point I was being considered for a technical lead path, and when I asked whether the pay would match the title being offered, the response suggested that the mismatch wasn’t being treated as disqualifying.
The process involved many stages and tests, with no real assurance that I would ever be matched to a client project. It felt more like keeping people in a pool while holding down salary expectations.
I didn’t get an offer, and the experience left a sour impression. The mismatch between the job level, the expectations, and the way decisions were communicated made the process feel humbling rather than selective.
