BairesDev Software Engineer automated testing with math and puzzle questions

Most of my time went into automated testing. I spent several hours answering a large set of questions and received no meaningful feedback afterward, which made the experience feel very impersonal. The math section started with easy questions and continued in much the same way. There were also puzzle-style items that felt more like filler than a reliable signal.

The tone and relevance threw me off. Some questions leaned into odd, pseudo-psychological prompts that didn't map clearly to the role I applied for. I kept feeling that the process was trying to measure something indirect. The testing also felt robotized from beginning to end. There was little human interaction to provide context, and I was left with machine-generated results while the same broad set of vacancies seemed to circulate through a larger funnel.

It never turned into an offer for me. I walked away feeling that the process didn't value my time or treat the experience like a real evaluation. It felt like a gate that swallowed hours and moved on.

Location: Montenegro. Overall feedback: Negative. Offer status: No offer.
