The process relied heavily on assessments, and it felt endless. Even after I completed the suggested tests successfully, there was no guarantee that I would reach the role. I found the funnel hard to trust, especially because the test materials and knowledge seemed outdated compared with the latest framework versions.
Much of the process was machine evaluated. It started with a long block of problem-solving tasks, followed by more tests that also took hours. I spent so much time on them that it felt as if the employer didn’t value my time. Some questions repeated the same idea, but the test still kept going.
At another point, the process followed a similar automated pattern. I took an automated test first, and a human follow-up was supposed to happen if I passed. I answered most of the questions, but then I never heard back, not even to confirm whether I had moved forward.
I didn’t get an offer. The experience was draining because I invested hours in assessments without any clarity about whether they would lead to real interviews or a decision.
