Lockheed Martin Software Engineer interview with a months-long virtual process

Lockheed Martin·Software Engineer·Reported May 2026

I interviewed for a specific program and was genuinely excited because the company was one of my top choices. The interview was virtual and included multiple interviewers, but the atmosphere was uneven and made it hard to feel comfortable.

Some interviewers seemed disengaged. One reacted dismissively while I was answering and kept looking elsewhere, which immediately put me off. The full process also took a long time. From applying to hearing the final outcome took several months, making it one of the longest stretches I'd experienced.

The process didn't match the candidate experience messaging I'd received. The difficulty wasn't only in the questions. It was also the emotional experience of not feeling respected or fully engaged during the conversation.

I didn't get an offer. My honest impression was that the process felt far from the polished experience they had described.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: Negative. Offer status: No offer.
