My process took long enough to feel intentional and was split across three main stages. It started with a TA team call that served as a screening step, followed by time with a manager. After that, I did a practice cold-call session and then spoke with a director, which made the interview feel more real rather than purely conversational.
The final stage was a presentation that brought together what I had done earlier and added a task. I had to rank five accounts based on how well they matched what Navan is about. I walked through my reasoning while they listened for critical thinking and whether I had done my homework, especially around product understanding and how I interpreted their ideal customer. It felt like they were evaluating both my logic and my ability to communicate under pressure.
By the end, I had a strong sense of what they cared about, but I didn’t move forward. It didn’t feel unfair so much as a very high bar. The hardest part was that the presentation required a lot of synthesis rather than rehearsed answers.
