My process started with a recruiter introduction. The technical part quickly made the experience feel practical rather than gimmicky. The first live screen lasted an hour and focused on React. The problem was broken into smaller steps, so I could build the result while explaining my approach. After that, I attended a virtual onsite with more technical rounds and hands-on work tied closely to day-to-day product problems.
During the onsite, I worked through coding and React-focused tasks. I also had discussions covering software design and behavioral and work-history questions. The experience was mostly straightforward, and the interviewers were neutral to positive when I explained my reasoning. I liked that there weren't purely algorithmic LeetCode questions. The focus stayed on realistic problem-solving and programming work.
I didn't feel the same level of engagement from every interviewer. Some seemed to move through a list of questions without much interaction. Still, nobody was rude or adversarial, and the process had a clear, predictable rhythm. I appreciated how practical the technical work was and how much it felt like actual engineering, even though I didn't receive an offer.
