Notion Labs Solutions Engineer interview with delayed updates after the final round

My early interactions were polite, but the process dragged and became difficult to follow. I had a recruiter screen, a conversation with the hiring manager, and a product demo as part of the standard flow. The recruiter also helped me prepare for the different rounds, which was useful.

What threw me off was how slow everything moved and how little I understood about where I stood. At one point, I had an offer from elsewhere and told them I’d need to decide quickly. I expected clear next steps or at least an update, but I didn’t hear back. After the final round, I received only automated messages weeks later, and even those didn’t provide much context.

The interview content and my impressions during the live sessions were decent. Still, the lack of transparency and timely communication made it feel like the process wasn’t being managed closely. I didn’t get an offer, and the experience left a sour taste because it didn’t match the care the product and team seemed to represent.

Location: Dublin, Dublin. Overall feedback: Negative. Offer status: No offer.
