My process had enough moving pieces to feel like a real campaign rather than just a couple of interviews. I started with recruiter and early screens that were fairly organized. The recruiter prepared me and kept me updated, even when the schedule slowed down because people were out of the office. After the onsite, there was an additional leadership conversation and reference checks, and the recruiter explained that those late-stage steps could extend the timeline.
The onsite rounds felt practical and direct. I went through coding and design-style conversations, and at least one round involved a demo or discussion of a Notion use case. There were also culture-focused conversations about my background and how I would collaborate across teams. Everyone I met seemed professional and approachable. I felt they wanted to hear my stories and gave me room to ask questions.
I still noticed some rough edges with the logistics and materials. One presentation round came with very little guidance, and I had to do a lot of chasing to get clarity. I didn't receive an offer, but I felt that I had been given a fair opportunity and treated with respect, even though the operational side could have been tighter.
