I went into Epic expecting a fairly normal interview, but the main experience was a four-hour online session centered on collaboration and communication. It started with an information component, especially since I was being considered for multiple roles. There was a separate overview for each role, so I spent time learning the scope before the interactive parts.
The core activities began with a case study involving two other people. It wasn't deep technical work. It was more about how I'd approach a PM-style problem with others. After that, I gave a presentation on a topic of my choice. I couldn't use slides, which made the format feel more conversational and less rehearsed.
The rest of the session covered the actual interview and behavioral checks with the people running the process. Overall, it felt manageable and structured, with the focus on whether I could work through ambiguity and explain my thinking clearly. I didn't receive an offer, but I left with a clear sense of what they cared about most.
