Accenture in India Software Engineer interview: selected rounds and uncertain offer confirmation

The interview steps themselves went smoothly. I cleared several rounds, met the selection bar, and was selected for the role, so it felt as though the process was finished. The confusion came afterward while I waited for offer-letter confirmation. I no longer trusted the momentum completely because the back-end operations did not seem aligned with the interviews. In one case, the system showed th…

Accenture in India Full Stack Engineer interview: changed salary and work model

About a month after I applied through the company site, a recruiter called to discuss the role and salary range. Because I lived far from the office, I was told the plan would be home office. I then interviewed with a manager and soon heard from another recruiter that I had been approved. The terms changed after that. I was offered a lower salary than the one first communicated, and home office b…

Accenture in India Software Engineer interview: HR to coding

I started with an HR conversation and introduced myself before anything technical. Next came an aptitude test, followed by a coding interview focused on my career background and expertise. The final stage was more about how I approach problems than about writing under pressure. I discussed strategies, scenarios, and principles, and it felt as if they wanted to understand my thinking and technical…

Accenture in India Software Engineer interview: Core Java and Spring Boot

I expected a normal technical conversation, and that was what I got: focused, direct, and largely about Core Java and Spring Boot. The questions covered object-oriented programming and concurrency, including multithreading, executors, volatile behavior, race conditions, and deadlocks. On the Spring Boot side, I was asked about annotations such as @Controller and @RestController. They also tested…

Accenture in India Software Engineer interview: HR, programming, SQL, and Git

I had a two-part process: an HR call followed by a technical round. The HR conversation covered introductions and context. The technical section covered core programming concepts, SQL, and Git. There was also problem solving and a brief practical exercise, so they could see how I approached a task rather than only how I described it. The format stayed straightforward and focused on fundamentals t…

Accenture in India Software Engineer interview: improving an existing app

The process felt very smooth. After the initial steps, I was given an assignment to choose an existing app or web application and improve it. I had to find fixes, strengthen the code, and make sure the work could be tested properly. It was not just a build-from-scratch exercise. The assignment was about taking a real project, improving it, and covering the testing side, which made the process fee…

Accenture in India Software Engineer interview: Java, Spring Boot, and projects

The process felt smooth and moderately difficult. After an online coding assessment, I moved into a combined technical and HR interview. The technical discussion covered Core Java, Spring Boot, SQL, JavaScript, React, Git, and SDLC. I also walked through the projects on my resume in detail rather than just listing bullet points. In those same conversations, I got a few HR questions and scenario-s…

Accenture in India Software Engineer interview: assessment, communication, and HR

After a recruiter interaction, I went through three Accenture in India phases. The online assessment covered basic reasoning and aptitude, computer-science fundamentals, and coding. The coding included HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and a problem-solving task. The communication round asked me to mirror what was on screen, repeat audio, and give a roughly two-minute introduction. The final interview was HR…

Accenture in India Software Engineer Interview Experience: A month of scheduling and silence

The frustrating part began with scheduling. It took a long time to arrange interviews, and I booked slots almost every week for nearly a month before my interview was finally scheduled. Even after it happened, HR did not respond and my emails went unanswered. The waiting continued without feedback. I assumed I had not passed the technical step because nothing moved forward, but I never received a…

Accenture in India Software Engineer Interview Experience: React stack before verification silence

My process began with two technical rounds. The first went deeply into React.js and JavaScript, including ES6 and TypeScript, as well as HTML and CSS. We covered API integration, state management, performance optimization, and scenario questions about debugging, code optimization, and component design. I also discussed real project experience. The second round mixed technical and managerial topic…

Accenture in India Software Engineer Interview Experience: Python and SQL

The technical interview followed a familiar sequence of question sets. It opened with basic Python, including decorators and generators, then moved to the difference between lists and tuples. From there, the discussion turned to SQL ranking functions such as rank and dense rank, before ending with a flatten-list type problem. It felt more like a check of common knowledge than an attempt to probe…

Accenture in India Software Engineer Interview: A group interview with five students

My process was straightforward. It started with a group round of five students, where the questions were basic and mostly behavioral. There was little technical probing, and it felt easier than I had expected. Because it was a group format and stayed on fundamental and behavioral questions, it did not feel like an interview that required deep specialization. The experience was low stress, and all…

Accenture in India Full Stack Engineer Interview: Three phone interview rounds

My process had three rounds, mostly by phone. It began with a recruiter screen lasting about 30 to 45 minutes. Next came a technical conversation with someone from a developer background, also about 30 to 45 minutes. The final round was behavioral and used the same call format. The pacing felt consistent: each call was focused and did not drag. The recruiter screen covered my background, while th…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
