Bank of America Financial Analyst interview with five-question sessions

The process felt light from the start. After I was scheduled, I had two back-to-back interviews that took about an hour together. Each was structured around five questions from a prepared list, followed by about five minutes for my own questions. The interviews were straightforward and did not turn into anything tricky or unexpected. I got a clear picture of the role, and it felt like the intervi…

Bank of America Financial Analyst Interview Experience: HireVue scenario prompts

My first step was an online HireVue with behavioral prompts and analytical questions. I had to respond to scenarios as though I were already an employee and decide how I would handle them. That made it less scripted than a simple "tell me about yourself" screen. The process then moved to virtual interviews focused on motivation and my CV. The later round had a similar tone, with personality and b…

Bank of America Financial Analyst interview: five-person phone panel

The process moved quickly, which still surprised me. I had a five-person panel interview with only a few questions, and I was given time to ask questions too. Because it was at the tail end of COVID, the interview happened by phone instead of in person or by video. It was simple and not very technical. I felt they were mainly checking fit and whether I could stay calm in the format. I received an…

Bank of America Financial Analyst interview: six-interview virtual superday

After HireVue, I attended a virtual superday about two weeks later. Instead of separate early rounds, I moved almost directly into this condensed format. The superday had roughly six interviews of around 30 minutes each, combining technical and behavioral questions for the healthcare team. The content felt tailored rather than generic finance discussion, and I had to keep switching between techni…

Bank of America Financial Analyst interview: advisor role-play on Teams

I had a phone interview that turned into an interview on Microsoft Teams. The questions centered on my motivation for the role, including why I wanted to be an advisor, along with a quick tell-me-about-yourself prompt. Near the end, I did a scenario role-play, which made the interview more practical than a purely conversational screen. The process felt supportive, especially on the recruiter side…

Bank of America Financial Analyst interview with a high technical bar and networking

The process felt rigorous from the start and needed real preparation. I practiced both behavioral and technical questions, learned about the company itself rather than relying on generic finance talking points, and networked with people at the firm because the path felt competitive. It took longer than I expected to reach later rounds, and the difficulty stayed high throughout. The questions were…

Bank of America Financial Analyst interview with psychometric testing and HireVue

My journey started with an application, a resume submission, and region-specific psychometric testing. After that, I completed an asynchronous HireVue with behavioral questions, personal motivation, and some basic commercial awareness. If I passed that stage, the next step was a first-round interview with bankers. That conversation focused heavily on walking through my resume and testing fundamen…

Bank of America Financial Analyst interview with back-to-back technical and behavioral segments

My schedule was extremely tight and very technical: a technical segment of about 30 minutes followed immediately by a behavioral segment of about 30 minutes. The technical portion covered a lot. I got valuation topics, dividend recap-style questions, and free cash flow, with follow-ups that went into the details. The pace made it clear that they expected thorough accounting knowledge. We worked t…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
