Account Executive interview at Klaviyo: interview experience

I spoke with a recruiter and then had a couple more rounds. A website laid out what each stage involved, which helped because I could prepare from a clear structure rather than guess what came next. The conversations assessed fit and how I would work across teams. They started more behaviorally and became more technical as the process went on. The interviewers were collaborative and respectful, a…

Klaviyo Account Executive: Mock Discovery Call and In-Person Panel

My process began with a recruiter screen and then moved to a hiring manager interview. Most of the questions focused on my experience, along with situational prompts such as walking through a time I handled a specific situation. The recruiter and hiring manager conversations had a similar structure, although the recruiter also explained what to expect and how success would be measured. The next s…

Klaviyo Software Engineer interview: CodeSignal assessment and production-focused final round

My interview process started with a recruiter call and then moved to a CodeSignal assessment. I found the assessment manageable as long as I had practiced the kinds of tasks used in these formats. It focused more on realistic coding than strict LeetCode patterns. The recruiter screen was straightforward. The final interview moved away from pure DSA questions and focused on the day-to-day work of…

Klaviyo Data Scientist interview after a referral and team reassignment

I applied online with a referral, and a recruiter contacted me shortly afterward. The timing felt a little unusual because I’d just interviewed with another team, and it seemed that the result of that process influenced what happened next. My impression was that they’d decided internally that I might be a better fit for a different team, even though nobody from the first team had the authority to…

Klaviyo Software Engineer interview, CodeSignal unlock sequence

I applied, and the recruiter reached out quickly by email and through the candidate portal. The recruiter call was easy and straightforward, and they accommodated my timeline so I could move directly to an assessment through CodeSignal. The assessment worked like an online unlock sequence. Getting a full score on one problem allowed me to move to the next. I didn’t pass overall, but I was told th…

Klaviyo Full Stack Engineer interview with API design and system improvement rounds

My first contact was a quick recruiter screen. After that, I received the CodeSignal link for the online assessment. Once I completed it, the process moved into a longer onsite structure covering past work, technical thinking, and collaboration. The onsite included several technical and behavioral interviews. In one round, I went deep into past work and system design decisions, explaining the arc…

Klaviyo Account Executive: repeated reschedules, missing Zoom details, and unanswered follow-ups

What stood out in my experience wasn't the interview questions. It was the communication and follow-through. I started with an initial recruiter interaction and then moved into later conversations, but the process felt inconsistent across several stages. There were short-notice reschedules, people who didn't show up, and rounds that started late without much explanation. The logistics also broke…

No-Camera OA, Passed 3 of 4 on a Banking System Design Problem

No need to turn the camera on. Out of four questions, all subtasks passed on three of them. I was just using it as practice — I didn't use AI, wrote all three questions myself. Level 1 and 2 were fairly simple. Design Banking System Level 3: Schedule Payments transfer(timestamp, source_account_id, target_account_id, amount) -> str|None At timestamp, deduct amount from source_account_id and freeze…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
