Eightfold.Ai Software Engineer interview: AI coding and take-home

I came through campus recruiting, starting with a CGPA eligibility check and resume shortlisting. That led to a 60-minute coding interview with an AI. There were two questions, so I had to keep an eye on both the approach and correctness while the clock ran. Clearing that screen put me in consideration for a take-home assignment, although the hiring process was still underway when I last heard. T…

ServiceNow QA Engineer interview: easy coding and project discussion

The online interview felt straightforward and easier than I had expected. The coding portion involved stack and dynamic-programming ideas, including next greater element and a buy-and-sell-stocks problem. The conversation then moved to my project, where I explained my testing approach and how I verified the work. That set the tone for the rest of the call. It was a smooth, low-pressure discussion…

Rippling Software Engineer interview: intern assessment in progress

I was interviewing for a Full Stack Software Engineer Intern role, rather than the general software-engineer track. Early on, I completed a HackerRank assessment with 4 multiple-choice questions and 3 coding questions. Recruiting then invited me to a coding and algorithms interview with an engineer. Their communication was clear and professional, and I knew what came next. When I described the ex…

JPMorganChase Business Analyst interview: recorded answers and delayed follow-up

My first step was an online video assessment with prerecorded prompts. I had about a minute to prepare each response, then recorded myself answering for the camera in a few takes. I waited afterward for an email about moving forward. After clearing that stage, I had a first-round interview with strong feedback that day. The follow-up then stretched out, so I reached back out and was told they wer…

DoorDash Data Scientist interview: SQL and ambiguous cases

The first round combined a 30-minute SQL assessment and a case study. SQL felt very easy, while the case portion was more difficult: two prompts were straightforward and one was genuinely ambiguous. The next round included three case studies and an interview with a cross-functional partner. The interviewers were kind, but I still had to keep structure and clarity across the scenarios. I did not r…

Capgemini Software Engineer interview: selection without offer letter

I cleared technical rounds and then had an HR conversation about salary expectations. One stage was face to face, L1 and L2 were held on the same day, and HR confirmed that I had been selected. I was told to expect an offer letter within a few working days. More than a month passed without an offer letter. I called and messaged, but neither recruiting nor HR responded. The interviews themselves h…

Capgemini Consultant interview: quick multi-round background discussion

The process began with recruiter screening and continued with the hiring manager and team members. I discussed my experience, technical and behavioral topics, problem solving, and cultural fit. The sequence was organized enough that I always knew what stage I was in. Once it started, it moved quickly across several people and rounds. There was a strong emphasis on talking about myself, my backgro…

Atos Consultant interview: brief meetings without closure

The process initially seemed structured. I had a quick HR call with generic questions and a short explanation of expectations, then a fast interview with someone from the team that covered the basics. After that, the momentum disappeared. I waited without clear updates, useful progress feedback, or closure from recruiting while the role seemed to keep circulating. The interviews themselves were b…

Google Software Engineer interview: detailed feedback on same-day coding

After a recruiter pre-screen, I had a tightly scheduled interview day with limited breaks. It combined a structured technical conversation with a behavioral STAR-style interview, leaving enough time to reset but not enough for the day to feel casual. I then had two LeetCode-like coding interviews on the same day with another short gap. In each, I was expected to think through an approach, align o…

Google Product Manager interview: cold early interview and silence

After an initial suitability call, I waited a couple of weeks for a first knowledge-based interview. Recruiter communication beforehand was supportive, but the interviewer came across as cold and professional, and I did not make it past that stage. In a separate early round, I had to drive the problem myself in a tight 30-minute window: identify constraints, explain an approach, propose solutions…

Google Software Engineer interview: online coding and team matching

After a recruiter chat, I completed the process online. The phone screen mixed behavioral discussion with a technical component, then a separate technical round asked me to solve two LeetCode-style questions in a language I chose from Python, C++, or Java. Behavioral questions also appeared alongside coding. Two later calls became somewhat harder but retained the same live DSA problem-solving for…

Microsoft Data Scientist interview: timed HackerRank assessment

Most of my process was a timed online technical assessment. It had several HackerRank-style questions and a predefined window of around an hour to finish everything. There was little conversational interviewing beyond that. It felt like a fast evaluation of technical problem solving, with very little room to recover from a missed question. I did not receive an offer. The straightforward but tough…

Microsoft Software Engineer interview: three 90-minute loop interviews

An HR call set up a packed loop day with three interviews, each 90 minutes long. The first two were live coding rounds with LeetCode-medium problems and a strong emphasis on clean code. The third was a behavioral interview with the department manager. The 90-minute blocks made the day longer than a typical loop and required sustained focus across coding clarity and later communication. I did not…

Industry-Leading National Security Consultancy Software Engineer interview: logic test to onsite

I applied through Workday and chose an interview time after a recruiter reached out. The process began with an online step before moving to an onsite conversation. Hays Technology Consultant interview: executive tone and low compensation

The hiring manager made the interview feel as though I were applying for an executive-level role. The tone and expectations were correspondingly high pressure. Garrett Advancing Motion Software Engineer interview: demanding and supportive

The process felt professional and candidate-friendly. It combined technical and HR conversations, and the interviewers stayed supportive and open even when questions were difficult. ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer interview: system design difficulty jump

The process began with a quick DSA screen that felt easy. The difficulty was not extreme, but I still needed to be clear and concise. Once I had passed codin…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
