Quick Overview

As of October 14, 2026, GothamLoop charges $199 a month or $329 once for lifetime access, while InterviewDB charges $49 a month (cancel anytime) or $299 for a One Year Pass. For one loop InterviewDB costs about a quarter as much and also has a free tier and about 7,500 questions, but its refund terms could not be confirmed; over several years GothamLoop's one-time price wins. GothamLoop figures come from its homepage, companies page, demo and terms. InterviewDB's prices, free tier and question count come from its site as read in a browser on October 14, 2026; its site blocked our automated checks, so we left the other cells as not confirmed rather than guess.

What GothamLoop Offers

GothamLoop sells a per-company list of reported software engineering questions, stack-ranked by what you are most likely to be asked. Its Google page shows round, format and report count per question ("Reported 14 times" on one). Company pages add a five-stage process walkthrough and a levels-and-pay table (Google L3 at about $211K to L7 at about $950K). When checked on October 14, 2026, it cost $199 a month or $329 once. The $329 sits under an "$800, Today Only" countdown that rendered identically on every page fetched, with a checkout link carrying a prefilled promo code, so treat $329 as the standing price.

Its pitch is translation: it says it decodes questions leaked on 1Point3Acres, Blind and private Discord groups, and pays recent hires for exit interviews. The free side is a demo that read "174 companies · 4,014 real interview questions" on October 14, plus an email form. How much of the demo is readable before paying could not be confirmed.

The main drawback is freshness. It says the list is updated weekly, yet 149 of the 168 companies on its own list showed "Last Updated" dates of August 12 to 18, 2026. Only its 18 headline companies carried late-September or October dates.

What InterviewDB Offers

InterviewDB (interviewdb.io) is a paid interview-question site. As of October 14, 2026, its pricing page lists two plans: a Monthly Subscription at $49 a month, cancel anytime, and a One Year Pass at $299 a year. It also has a free tier and shows about 7,500 questions, as of October 2026. It blocked automated fetches on the day of our check, so its refund terms, company count and answer format are unknown here, and we did not carry over any older reading of its pages.

What candidates say fills in part of the picture. Blind commenters discuss it as an English route to 1point3acres material: a Meta-tagged commenter recommended its 1p3a section as cheaper than the forum's own $38 monthly pass, and another promoted its 1p3a guide as a way to read paywalled 1point3acres posts without buying the VIP pass. Reviews of the bank itself split. An Amazon commenter who had bought GothamLoop said InterviewDB has "a better UI and more qns," while a DoorDash poster said it has a "very limited number of questions, and the UI sucks."

The main drawback is that its refund policy could not be confirmed and what its free tier includes was not recorded, so the $49 month is the cheapest paid way to judge it.

Head to Head

Price for one loop versus many

For one loop, InterviewDB wins on price: $49 against $199 for a month, as of October 14, 2026. GothamLoop's own monthly plan is hard to justify at all, since two months ($398) cost more than its lifetime price. Over the long run the gap closes. GothamLoop's $329 lifetime costs $30 more than one InterviewDB year and stays a one-time charge, so by a second year of steady use InterviewDB's pass costs $598 against GothamLoop's unchanged $329. Against InterviewDB's monthly plan, GothamLoop's lifetime price pays back in the seventh month. One caveat on "lifetime": GothamLoop's terms let it end access at any time, for any reason.

Coverage and match rate

GothamLoop publishes its shape: 4,014 questions across 174 companies on its demo header, though its homepage says 160+ and its companies page 168. InterviewDB shows about 7,500 questions (October 2026), against PracHub's more than 12,000, and the two Blind reports above contradict each other. Coverage is not the same as a match. A Google engineer on Blind who used GothamLoop across six loops put the overlap with real questions at 30 to 35% and called it "not a magic cheat code." Use any such list to learn what a round covers, not to memorize answers.

Freshness

GothamLoop's own pages undercut its weekly-update claim: most company dates were about eight weeks old when checked, and the homepage's recent-questions showcase listed questions last asked in Jan 2026 and Dec 2025. Its Google page claimed "84 verified questions from the last 14 days" while its company list dated Google's last update September 23, 2026. We have no confirmed freshness signal for InterviewDB at all, so neither earns trust on this point.

Refunds and terms

GothamLoop's terms say all sales are final and cancelling does not refund past payments. They also point to an "Automatic Renewal" section that does not exist, so how the $199 monthly plan renews is not spelled out. InterviewDB's monthly plan is at least labelled cancel anytime, but its refund policy was not confirmed. Ask in writing before paying either.

Who Should Pick GothamLoop

Pick GothamLoop if you will run several loops over the next few years and want one ranked list with process stages and pay bands next to the questions. It fits best when your target is one of its 18 headline companies (Anthropic, Anduril, Jane Street, Jump Trading, Palantir, Waymo and the like), since those carried the recent update dates. It also suits candidates who cannot read Chinese and have no 1point3acres membership; a Reddit commenter said it is not worth buying if you already have one. Go in knowing the $329 is not refundable and most company pages were weeks out of date.

Who Should Pick InterviewDB

Pick InterviewDB if you have one loop soon and want the cheapest paid list to test: $49 for a month you can cancel. It also suits you if you are already looking for English access to 1point3acres posts, which is how Blind commenters describe it. Skip the One Year Pass until a month has shown you real depth for your company; at $299 it costs nearly as much as GothamLoop's lifetime price, and you still could not confirm its refund terms first.

The Third Option: PracHub

InterviewDB's $49 month and $299 year both cost more than PracHub's paid plans. PracHub is a bank of real, recently asked interview questions with in-depth written solutions, free to start with an optional paid tier. As of October 2026 it lists more than 12,000 questions from more than 550 companies; most questions are free, and more than 7,000 have a written solution. Amazon alone has more than 800 questions on the Amazon hub, most of them free. The questions below are free to read, so you can judge the depth for your company before paying anyone.

Asked at Amazon: Minimum Time to Finish Dependent Cake-Making Steps When Steps Can Run in Parallel

A recipe split into timed steps with prerequisites, where independent steps can run at once; you find the shortest time to finish everything. It is a dependency-graph problem dressed as a kitchen.

Asked at Stripe: Split-Tender Payment Events with Gift Card Expiry, ZIP Surcharges and Refunds

One purchase paid with several methods, processed as a stream of events where gift cards can expire, ZIP codes add surcharges and refunds arrive later. The hard part is the edge cases, not the loop.

A four-step way to decide

  1. Open your company in the company directory and count the free questions for your role and round.
  2. If the free set covers your rounds, stop there and practise.
  3. If it is thin, try one $49 InterviewDB month before any longer plan, and judge it on your company's questions only.
  4. Consider GothamLoop's $329 only once you know you will interview repeatedly. Read our GothamLoop review and the GothamLoop alternatives first, and if 1point3acres itself is on your list, see GothamLoop vs 1point3acres.

Practice these on PracHub

Try real questions before paying for either list. These are free to read on PracHub, and each also has a written solution, which sits in the optional paid tier:

Keep going from the software engineer questions, the full question bank or the company hubs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is GothamLoop or InterviewDB better for real interview questions?

For one loop in the next month, InterviewDB is the cheaper test at $49 for a cancel-anytime month (as of October 14, 2026), and it shows about 7,500 questions (October 2026). GothamLoop is better if you will interview many times over several years and want one ranked list with process stages and pay bands per company. A Google engineer on Blind put GothamLoop's match with real questions at 30 to 35%.

Which is cheaper, GothamLoop or InterviewDB?

InterviewDB for one month: $49 against GothamLoop's $199, as of October 14, 2026. Over the long run, GothamLoop's $329 one-time lifetime price is $30 more than one InterviewDB One Year Pass ($299) and cheaper from the second year on. Against InterviewDB's monthly plan, GothamLoop's lifetime price pays back in the seventh month.

Do GothamLoop or InterviewDB give refunds?

GothamLoop does not: its terms say all sales are final and cancelling does not refund payments already made. InterviewDB's refund policy could not be confirmed when we checked on October 14, 2026. Its monthly plan is labelled cancel anytime, which is not the same as a refund. Ask either company in writing before you pay.

Is there a free alternative to GothamLoop and InterviewDB?

Yes. PracHub is free to start with an optional paid tier, and InterviewDB's paid plans cost more than PracHub's. As of October 2026 it lists more than 12,000 real interview questions from more than 550 companies, most questions are free, and more than 7,000 have an in-depth written solution. You can check coverage for your company before spending anything.

Can I use GothamLoop and InterviewDB together?

You can, but expect overlap. GothamLoop says it aggregates from 1Point3Acres, and Blind commenters describe InterviewDB as a cheaper route to 1point3acres content, so both draw on the same well. A cheaper stack is a free bank for breadth plus one InterviewDB month for the company you are interviewing with.

Final Verdict

For the common case, one upcoming loop, InterviewDB is the cheaper paid list to try: $49 for a month you can cancel, a quarter of GothamLoop's monthly price. It has a free tier as well, though what that tier includes was not recorded and its refund terms could not be confirmed. Skip its $299 year until a month has proven itself.

GothamLoop is a bet on volume over years. The $329 one-time price beats InterviewDB from the second year on, but its "updated weekly" claim did not hold for most companies when checked, and every sale is final. Start with the free questions on PracHub, then buy from either list only to fill a gap you can name: browse the question bank.
