LeetCode Pricing (2026): Plans, Free Access, and What You Actually Get

October 14, 2026
13 min read

Quick Overview

LeetCode's free tier includes the non-premium problems and articles, judged submissions, contests and the Discuss forum; Premium is $35 a month or $159 a year on LeetCode's subscribe page as of October 14, 2026, and adds company-tagged lists, assessments and IDE tooling. All fees are non-refundable and both plans auto-renew, so buy one month before an onsite rather than a year up front.

Free

LeetCode is partly free: the free problems and articles cost nothing. Premium is $35 a month or $159 a year on LeetCode's subscribe page, checked on October 14, 2026, the same prices it showed in February 2024 and February 2025. The paywall holds company-tagged lists with frequency sorting, premium-only questions, timed company assessments, a debugger, autocomplete and faster judging. Every fee is non-refundable, so if you pay, buy one month before an onsite, never a year up front.

Prices and other details were checked on LeetCode's subscribe page on October 14, 2026.

Quick Verdict

Choose LeetCode Premium when you have an onsite at a large tech company in the next four to six weeks, you want that company's tagged list sorted by frequency, and you will use the debugger and timed company assessments every day of that month.

Choose PracHub when you want to read real, recently asked interview questions for free before paying anyone. As of October 2026, more than 8,000 of its questions are free to read; most written solutions sit in the optional paid tier.

One warning before either: LeetCode's terms say no refunds and no proration, so a year bought in a hopeful moment is a year paid for.

LeetCode Plans and Prices (2026)

Source: LeetCode's subscribe page, checked on October 14, 2026; its archived copies from February 18, 2024 and February 22, 2025 show the same two prices. The student price comes from LeetCode's school page archived March 16, 2026. Prices can change, so confirm at checkout.

Two things the table hides. First, the struck-through prices are not a sale. The $39 crossed out to $35 and the "previously sold for $299" next to $159 appear in the February 2024 and February 2025 copies of the page and again on the live page in October 2026. That is the standing price dressed as a discount, so there is no reason to rush.

Second, the arithmetic between the two plans, at the October 2026 prices:

Months you actually prepPaying monthlyBuying the year up front
1$35$159
4$140$159
5$175$159

The year only wins if you would otherwise pay for five or more months. The common pattern in the r/leetcode threads that techinterview.org summarised (checked October 8, 2026) is one month timed to an onsite, which is the monthly plan.

What You Get for Free

A free account gets the non-premium questions and articles. Your submissions are judged for free: Premium only adds priority Lightning judging (LeetCode's subscribe page, checked on October 14, 2026). Contests need only a free account and are ranked, and contestants can post their solutions in the Discuss forum once a contest ends (LeetCode help center, archived February 2024).

What the free tier does not get, per the FAQ on LeetCode's subscribe page (archived July 28, 2026): grouping questions by company, frequency sorting, company-specific practice assessments, premium-only questions and articles, autocomplete, the debugger and the Lightning judge, which LeetCode says is "up to 10x faster during peak hours".

What the LeetCode pages we could read do not say:

  • How many problems are free versus premium-only. No page we opened states either number.
  • Which companies have tags, and how many questions each one has. The subscribe page says only "top companies" and does not list which companies are tagged.
  • The free allowance of Ask Leet credits. Only the Premium extra (500 monthly credits for the most advanced models, plus up to 30 solution analyses a day) is stated.

Hidden Costs and Billing Terms

These come from LeetCode's Terms of Service (last modified April 5, 2024, archived September 15, 2026) and its support articles.

All sales are final. The terms say all fees are non-refundable and that LeetCode "will not prorate any Fees paid for a subscription that is terminated before the end of its term". If you cancel, access runs to the end of the period, but you get no refund.

Both plans auto-renew. You must cancel in Manage Subscription before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. One Trustpilot reviewer says LeetCode hides the cancellation and auto-renew controls and sent no renewal reminder. LeetCode's Trustpilot score was 2.5 out of 5 from 14 reviews in an archive dated March 27, 2026.

Monthly-to-yearly upgrades credit almost nothing. You can upgrade yourself, and the price is pro-rated only on the unused part of your current month. LeetCode's support article says it cannot convert past monthly payments into an annual plan. Pay three months, then upgrade, and those months count for nothing toward the year.

Lapsed Premium freezes your premium work. After Premium ends you can still view the code you wrote for premium problems, but you cannot run or submit it.

Account termination without refund. LeetCode may close an account "with or without prior notice" for conduct it judges, in its sole discretion, to break its terms, and keeps the fees.

Disputes go to arbitration. The terms send disputes to binding JAMS arbitration under California law, with a class-action waiver.

The one soft spot: Blind and Trustpilot posters report that support sometimes refunded an accidental renewal, and one Blind thread says emailing billing@leetcode.com worked. Another poster waited two days with no reply, and there is no phone line. Treat a refund as a favour you might get.

Is LeetCode Premium Worth the Price?

When LeetCode wins

  • Your target is a FAANG-scale company with many user-tagged questions, and you want frequency-sorted company lists plus timed Interview Simulations in the month or two before your onsite.
  • You want IDE tooling while you practise: a breakpoint debugger, autocomplete, cloud-saved code, unlimited Playgrounds and priority judging at peak hours.
  • You want an in-editor AI assistant, Ask Leet, with extra credits bundled into the same subscription.

When it is not

Candidates report missing or inaccurate tags for some companies, Google among them, and one r/leetcode thread summarised by techinterview.org (checked October 8, 2026) describes a LinkedIn loop where no tagged question appeared. Rora's review adds that solution quality varies because questions and solutions are user-submitted, and that for smaller companies LeetCode often lacks company-specific questions. A Blind reply notes some company questions can sometimes be found through LeetCode's public discuss pages with a search engine. A frequency sort over user-submitted questions tells you what people reported, not what your interviewer will ask next month.

So the honest answer is narrow. One month of Premium, timed four to six weeks before an onsite at a company with a long tagged list, is a reasonable $35 at the October 2026 price. A year bought up front is a non-refundable bet on a list whose company coverage the subscribe page never spells out. For how tagged lists compare with what loops actually ask, see LeetCode vs real interview questions.

Cheaper Ways to Get the Same Outcome

The outcome you want is having seen the kind of question your target company asks right now, and having worked a strong answer to it.

As of October 2026, PracHub holds more than 12,000 real interview questions from more than 550 companies. More than 8,000 of them are free to read, and more than 7,000 have in-depth written solutions; for more than 1,100, both the question and its solution are free. By company, Meta has more than 1,200 questions, Amazon more than 850 and Google more than 600. Coding and algorithms alone has more than 4,100, and a loop's other rounds are there too: more than 1,500 system design questions and more than 1,500 behavioral and leadership questions. PracHub is free to start, with an optional paid tier; see current pricing.

Asked at Amazon: Lexicographically Largest Permutation After Sorting One Fixed-Length Window

Given a permutation and a window size, you must sort exactly one contiguous window into ascending order and return the largest possible result. It is framed as a shipment-ordering task. Free to read; the written solution sits in the paid tier.

Asked at ByteDance: Maximize total catch over K hours from ponds whose yield drops after each hour

Each pond's hourly catch falls by one for every hour you fish it, and you have K hours to maximise the total. It was asked in a machine learning engineer loop. Free to read; the written solution sits in the paid tier.

Asked at OpenAI: Sliding-Window Chat Analytics: Recent Counts, Live Sessions, Out-of-Order Events

Build a single-threaded, in-memory service that reads a stream of chat interaction records and answers questions about recent activity and live sessions, including when events arrive out of order. Free to read.

A workflow that needs at most one month of Premium:

  1. Drill core patterns on the free LeetCode problem set; Premium adds nothing here.
  2. Find your target company on PracHub's company pages and read its recently asked questions, starting with the coding questions, before you spend anything.
  3. Write your own answer, then compare it with a written solution where one is free. Where it is not, decide whether that round justifies paying anyone.
  4. If your company has a long LeetCode tagged list and your onsite is four to six weeks out, buy one month of Premium. Set a reminder to cancel before it renews.
  5. Never buy a year up front for a single loop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is LeetCode free?

Partly. A free account gets the non-premium questions and articles, standard judging of submissions, ranked contests and the Discuss forum. Company-tagged lists, frequency sorting, company assessments, premium-only questions, the debugger, autocomplete and the faster Lightning judge need Premium, per LeetCode's subscribe page archived July 28, 2026.

How much does LeetCode Premium cost?

LeetCode's subscribe page lists Premium at $35 a month or $159 a year as of October 14, 2026, the same prices as its archived copies from February 2024 and February 2025. Confirm the price at checkout. At those prices the year only beats paying monthly if you would pay for five or more months.

Is LeetCode Premium worth it?

For one month, timed four to six weeks before an onsite at a large company with a long tagged list, it can be. As a year bought up front, usually not: the fees are non-refundable, LeetCode's subscribe page names only "top companies" and does not list which companies are tagged, and candidates report missing or inaccurate tags.

Does LeetCode refund Premium?

Its Terms of Service (last modified April 5, 2024) say all fees are non-refundable and not prorated. Cancelling keeps access to the end of the period with no refund. Blind and Trustpilot posters report that support sometimes refunded an accidental renewal, and one Blind thread says emailing billing@leetcode.com worked, but the policy does not promise it.

Is there a LeetCode Premium promo code or free trial?

We have no promo code to give you and will not invent one. As of October 14, 2026, the only discount we could confirm on LeetCode's own pages is the school group plan in the table above, and we found no mention of a free trial on the subscribe page, terms or support articles we opened.

What is a free alternative to LeetCode Premium?

PracHub is free to start with an optional paid tier. As of October 2026 it has more than 12,000 real, recently asked interview questions from more than 550 companies, and most questions are free. By company it has more than 1,200 Meta questions, more than 850 Amazon and more than 600 Google. Most written solutions sit in the paid tier.

Final Verdict

LeetCode's free tier covers the non-premium questions and articles, judged submissions, contests and the Discuss forum without paying, and you should use it. Premium is a narrow purchase: a company label and a frequency sort, with better tooling on top. As of October 2026 it is listed at $35 a month or $159 a year, non-refundable and auto-renewing on both plans.

Buy one month when an onsite at a company with a deep tagged list is four to six weeks away, and cancel the same day so it cannot renew. Never buy the year for a single loop, and never upgrade expecting credit for months already paid.

Before you spend anything, read what your target company actually asked recently, starting with the free questions in PracHub's question bank.
