The first test was assignment-like and covered a broad mix: Java depth questions, React, SQL, and some DevOps. After my first round, there was also a paper-based written problem-solving step.
I was rejected at that written stage. I had traveled a long way for the interview and did not feel ready enough after dealing with the timing and logistics. With more than 40 hours spent traveling, I was not mentally fresh for the evaluation.
It felt difficult. I came away thinking the format might have been manageable if I had arrived fully prepared, but the travel situation made it much harder than it needed to be.
