My interview had two distinct parts. One leaned more behavioral than I expected, and another was a LeetCode-style technical question. The behavioral prompts were situational. Instead of asking for polished, closed-form answers, they asked me to explain how I would think through open-ended scenarios. Communication became central because it felt like they wanted my reasoning, not just a final conclusion.
Later, I had an in-person loop with four rounds and a lunch break in the middle. One round was purely behavioral, while the other three combined behavioral and technical evaluation. The pacing felt calmer that day and let me reset between rounds, but I still needed to keep my explanations crisp and consistent.
I did not receive an offer. The behavioral part was harder than the coding for me because the question was often how I would solve something, rather than what the correct answer was. I underestimated how much weight my thought process would carry until I had to explain it aloud.
