My phone interview involved calculating courier earnings from order events. I needed to clarify payment rules before coding. Follow-ups introduced higher rates during busy periods and reliability issues when turning the calculation into a service.

Four onsite sessions followed over two days. In AI-assisted coding, I used my laptop and editor to extend a graph-based refund processor. We discussed partial refunds, repeated requests, and latency. I then summarized the session and drew an architecture diagram.

The seventy-five-minute design session began with a detailed project discussion, then moved to a three-day fundraising campaign targeting USD 100 million through an external payment processor.

The second day included repairing Python traffic-routing logic and extending it with consistent hashing to preserve user affinity when servers changed. The manager conversation covered ownership, failures, improvements, supporting colleagues, disagreements, AI experience, and how I would revisit a past project from a product perspective.
