A recruiter contacted me, followed by a delivery-pay phone screen and four onsite rounds.
The food-review and rewards design interviewer repeatedly interrupted with follow-ups. I felt my gradual explanation sounded unprepared under that style, so I switched to leading with the strongest design. I still thought the round went reasonably well.
The debugging interviewer seemed disengaged. After being told I could change an input type, I lost substantial time before discovering that the tests required the original type. One test remained unresolved.
In AI Codecraft, I completed the requested system and ran end-to-end tests, although I was unsure what the round was assessing. We discussed tool and model selection, prior skill or agent work, and production improvements.
The hiring-manager round was the most comfortable. Besides behavioral questions, we discussed what I would ask a new team about AI and how I would divide work between an E3 engineer and an intern.
I received a rejection a few days later. My request for feedback went unanswered.
