My phone screen involved displaying API data in a responsive card layout, with loading and error states and formatted currency. Follow-ups covered reuse, caching, filters, and typing. A manager conversation covered projects, collaboration, AI agents, and a role described as about 80% backend work.

Onsite design addressed a short payment surge through an external processor. Topics included duplicate-charge prevention, retries, queues, capacity estimates, API and data models, and storage tradeoffs. The values round explored ownership, disagreements, feedback, career plans, a project built from scratch, and everyday AI use.

One coding round aggregated internal services, retaining partial results when noncritical dependencies failed. Another used an existing Node backend to build live courier tracking with server-sent events. It required a coding assistant and screen sharing, with staged milestones. Evaluation covered prompts, model choice, engineering judgment, testing AI output, and pull-request review.
