The process was mostly smooth at the beginning, but the closer it got to the final rounds, the more it felt like important context was missing. I disclosed my visa needs to the recruiter right at the start, completed multiple interview rounds, and received positive feedback along the way. When it came time for the decision, I was told that immigration couldn't move forward and that an offer wouldn't be extended.
That was difficult because the time I invested felt substantial compared with how late the barrier was raised. I also had a hiring manager interview that felt oddly disconnected. He was late, seemed unprepared about what I was interviewing for, and left very little room for questions. The conversation felt flat and scripted instead of engaged.
In the end, I didn't get an offer. I left with mixed feelings. Parts of the process were organized and responsive, but it was hard not to feel let down by how late the critical constraints came up and by the lack of a constructive atmosphere in some of the final-round interviews.
