I interviewed for a Temu software-engineering role on November 2, 2026. The first technical screen included introductions, one coding problem, about twenty minutes on projects, and time for questions. I could choose whether coding or project discussion came first and use any programming language.
The task asked for all subsets of distinct integers, including the empty subset. The interviewer answered clarification questions and said ordinary enumeration was enough. I found the conversation friendly and smooth.
The engineering manager described a fully remote U.S. Search Ads team covering keywords, bidding, ad content, and conversion. They discussed hiring plans and parallel collaboration with a team in China. Cross-time-zone meetings might occur once or twice weekly, usually for thirty to sixty minutes, with attendance and scheduling depending on the work.
The questions helped me understand the team's backend and infrastructure work, collaboration, and career development. These were the interviewer's descriptions at the time.
