There aren't many writeups for this company on the forum, so I'm sharing mine.
It was a practical, applied problem. The starter code spins up a SQL db, a very simple backend (you can pick a Python backend or Next.js), and a React frontend. You need to pull the data from the database, finish the backend API, and have the frontend fetch the data and render a table. The backend has to use raw SQL, but it's only the most basic select from. Once the table renders, the second part is to apply a condition to the data you fetched, and the rows in the table that meet the condition should show a marker. The last part is to implement pagination. None of it is actually hard, but if you're rusty you might not finish in time. If you're going to interview for this role, have an AI generate a practice problem ahead of time and do it yourself. After practicing, you'll definitely pass.
I mass-applied and didn't expect to get an interview invite so quickly. This company is a bit odd: there was no recruiter call at all, the interview invite came directly from the interviewer, and you can email the interviewer to confirm what the interview will cover.
