Best AlgoMaster Alternatives in 2026: Free and Paid Options Compared
Quick Overview
AlgoMaster sells a pattern-first DSA and system design course at $39 for one month, $99 for a year or $199 lifetime as of October 2026, with no refunds. This guide compares PracHub, NeetCode, Structy, AlgoExpert and LeetCode Premium on price, free access and company coverage, and shows what each one gives you for free.
The best AlgoMaster alternative depends on what you lack. If you lack technique, NeetCode's free Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 lists come with a video for every problem. If you can solve patterns but do not know what companies ask today, PracHub's bank of recently asked interview questions is free to start. As of October 2026, AlgoMaster charges $39 for one month, $99 for a year or $199 for lifetime access, and every purchase is final and non-refundable. So test the free options first.

AlgoMonster is a different product with a similar name; this page covers AlgoMaster (algomaster.io) only.
Quick Verdict
Choose PracHub when you already know the core patterns and need real, recent questions from the companies you are interviewing at, with most questions free to read.
Choose NeetCode when you want pattern practice at no cost: its free lists come with a video for every problem. NeetCode Pro, at $119 for a year as of October 2026, is the best paid alternative if you want full video courses and a browser editor.
Choose AlgoMaster itself when you are learning DSA from scratch and want one pay-once purchase that also covers low-level design, concurrency and system design patterns.
Why Candidates Look for AlgoMaster Alternatives
No refunds, and contradictory policy pages. AlgoMaster's refund policy says "All purchases on AlgoMaster.io are final and non-refundable". The policy pages also disagree: the refund page talks about subscriptions and billing cycles, while the FAQ says payments are one-time and never auto-renew. If you buy the $199 lifetime plan and the teaching style does not suit you, the money is gone.
The company lists are a sampler. When checked on October 14, 2026, the Google company list showed 5 problems, then "Upgrade to Premium to access all 463 problems from Google". Each row links to a LeetCode problem, and the page does not say where the lists come from.
The free tier is capped where it matters. A "significant portion" of the DSA course is free, but company tags, animations, AI features and unlimited code submissions are Premium. Free submissions have a limit the site does not publish.
Short-term buyers pay the most. On AlgoMaster's premium page, the $39 Monthly option buys one month with no auto-renewal, so three months of prep costs $117 against $99 for a full year. Our AlgoMaster pricing breakdown tracks each plan in detail.
Sharing is policed. The terms say Premium is for one person and access may be restricted if sharing is detected, so splitting a lifetime plan is a risk.
What to Look For in an Alternative
- Recent questions or curated classics. A pattern course teaches technique; recent company questions test whether it survives a twist the course never showed you.
- Written solutions. A written solution is faster to review the night before an onsite than a video.
- Usable free access. Count the questions and solutions you can actually open for free.
- Coverage of your target companies. 5 free Google problems and hundreds of them are different tools.
- Refund terms. Almost every option below refuses refunds, so the free tier is your only trial.

PracHub
PracHub is a bank of real, recently asked interview questions with in-depth written solutions. As of October 2026 it holds more than 12,000 questions from more than 550 companies, and more than two thirds of them are free to read. More than 7,500 questions carry a written solution; most of those solutions are in the optional paid tier, and more than 1,100 questions have both the question and its solution free.
That includes more than 4,000 coding questions, more than 1,500 system design questions and more than 1,200 engineering fundamentals questions. For companies AlgoMaster keeps lists for: more than 600 Google questions, more than 850 Amazon questions and more than 1,200 from Meta, all counted in October 2026.
Asked at Google: Median of All Values Across Several Sorted Integer Arrays The interview opened with the familiar two-array median, then the follow-up asked for the same answer across any number of sorted arrays. Most candidates have drilled the two-array version; the follow-up is what drilling misses.
Asked at Netflix: Implement an in-memory key-value store with per-key TTL expiration and tests A phone screen where each entry expires on its own timer, and you finish by writing and running your own tests. The grading covers how you clarify requirements, not only whether the code runs.
PracHub is not a course: it will not teach sliding window from first principles.
NeetCode
NeetCode's free tier is built for pattern practice: its Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 plans come with a free video for every problem. Lodely's September 12, 2026 review calls it "a curated list, not a curriculum" that assumes existing foundations, and the free tier has no code editor, so you solve on LeetCode in another tab. As of October 2026, NeetCode Pro costs $119 for One-Year Access or $297 for Lifetime, and adds video courses, 300+ problems in a browser editor, company-tagged problems and two system design courses.
The drawback: NeetCode generally does not refund, saying its content is "consumable". Its Lifetime price is also $98 higher than AlgoMaster's.
Structy
Structy is a single linear DSA course built on animated explanations and a video code walkthrough for every problem, in JavaScript, Python, Java and C++. When checked on October 14, 2026, 91 of its 250 course items were free, including most of the dynamic programming module. Paid access is $49 per month, recurring until you cancel, or $129 once for 365 days.
The drawback: there is no company-specific question set, no published refund clause and no lifetime option. It suits a beginner's DSA course and nothing more.
AlgoExpert
As of October 2026, AlgoExpert sells 200 curated coding questions with two-part video explanations, written solutions in 9 languages and an in-browser IDE. The list price is $99 for one year with no auto-renewal; when checked on October 14, 2026, a "Flash Sale" brought it to $59. The AlgoExpert plus SystemsExpert bundle, closest to AlgoMaster's DSA plus system design pairing, listed at $198 and showed $94.
The drawback: its FAQ says "We don't offer refunds under any circumstance", and as of October 2026 only 4 of its questions are free. The review site techinterview.org adds that the list is static and does not track new question trends.
LeetCode Premium
LeetCode Premium is the tool for company-tagged lists. When checked on October 14, 2026, it cost $35 per month or $159 per year. Company grouping, frequency sorting, company assessments, the debugger and autocomplete are all Premium features, and once Premium lapses you can no longer run or submit code on premium problems. The common pattern, according to a techinterview.org summary of r/leetcode threads, is buying one month timed to an onsite.
The drawback: all fees are non-refundable under its terms, and both plans renew unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Free Alternatives to AlgoMaster
- PracHub's free questions. Most questions are free; as of October 2026 that is more than 8,400 of them, searchable by company and category. Most written solutions sit in the paid tier.
- NeetCode's free lists. Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 with a video per problem. They work best once you have the foundations.
- InterviewBit. As of October 2026 it shows no paid plan; it lists 800+ practice problems and free peer mock interviews. The catch is an account with phone verification and consent to marketing contact from Scaler.
- AlgoMaster's own free tier. A large part of the DSA course, the free DSA Patterns Sheet and a newsletter that reported more than 153,000 subscribers as of October 2026. Use it fully before you pay.
When AlgoMaster Is Still the Better Choice
- You are learning DSA from zero and want a structured, pattern-first course. As of October 2026 its homepage lists 60+ patterns and 600+ problems, with animations, quizzes and an audio Listen Mode.
- You want to pay once. At $199 for lifetime access as of October 2026, it costs less than NeetCode's $297 Lifetime, and its FAQ says no plan auto-renews.
- You want breadth under one login. As of October 2026 the site lists low-level design, 50 concurrency problems, SQL, ML system design, Kafka and language courses next to the interview tracks.
- You target Indian product companies. AlgoMaster's company lists include Flipkart, Swiggy, PhonePe and Zoho. As of October 2026 PracHub has no questions from any of those four; its bank is weighted toward US tech, finance and AI companies.
Our AlgoMaster review covers the course quality in more depth.
How to Switch
- Diagnose with free questions. Attempt five recent questions cold from your target company's page on PracHub, such as the Meta questions, 45 minutes each.
- Name the failure. Could not identify the pattern? You lack technique: work through NeetCode's free lists or AlgoMaster's free course. Found the pattern but lost the follow-up? You lack exposure to recent variants.
- Practice by category. Spend most of your time in the coding and engineering fundamentals hubs linked below, where follow-ups and tests get graded.
- Time-box it. Fix a date for your first onsite and plan backward; a three-week plan does not need a lifetime purchase.
- Buy last. Pay only for the gap you confirmed, after the free tiers run out. Check PracHub's pricing the same way you would check anyone else's.
Practice these on PracHub
These four are free to read and were asked in recent interviews; their written solutions are paid, so attempt them cold.
- Coding (Select the K-th Largest Value from an Unsorted Array Without a Heap · Merge Overlapping Collinear Lane Segments Given as Integer Point Lists · Repeatedly Delete Runs of k Adjacent Equal Characters from a String); more in the coding questions.
- Engineering fundamentals (Fix a Buggy Spring Boot Movie Search Against Five Search Rules); more in the engineering fundamentals questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best free alternative to AlgoMaster?
Use two free tools together. NeetCode's Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250 lists come with a free video per problem and suit you once you have the foundations. PracHub covers recent company questions: as of October 2026, more than 8,400 recently asked interview questions are free to read, filtered by company and category.
Is there anything cheaper than AlgoMaster?
Yes. PracHub is free to start, with an optional paid tier, and as of October 2026 InterviewBit shows no paid plan. AlgoExpert showed $59 for a year during a flash sale on October 14, 2026, against AlgoMaster's $99 Annual. Structy's $129 one-year package costs more than AlgoMaster's Annual, and NeetCode's $297 Lifetime costs more than AlgoMaster's $199 Lifetime.
Is AlgoMaster worth it compared to free options?
Only if you are learning DSA from scratch and want one structured, pay-once course with low-level design and concurrency included. If you already know the patterns, start with the free tiers of NeetCode and PracHub, because AlgoMaster's no-refund rule makes buying it to find out an expensive test.
Can I use AlgoMaster and PracHub together?
Yes, and they do different jobs. Use AlgoMaster, or its free course portion, to learn a pattern, then use PracHub's recent company questions to check whether you can apply it to a follow-up you have not seen.
Is AlgoMaster the same as AlgoMonster?
No. They are different products with similar names. This comparison covers AlgoMaster at algomaster.io only.
Does AlgoMaster offer refunds?
No. As of October 2026, its refund policy says all purchases on AlgoMaster.io are final and non-refundable, and its FAQ tells buyers to try the free content first. Treat the free DSA course portion and patterns sheet as your only trial.
Final Verdict
AlgoMaster sells a structured course under a hard purchase rule: no refunds. Its free tier is capped and its company lists stop after 5 Google problems, so you should not buy it to find out whether you need it.
For most candidates the cheapest route is two free tools: NeetCode's lists for technique once you have the foundations, and PracHub's recent questions for what companies ask now. Buy AlgoMaster only if you are starting from zero and want one structured, pay-once course.
