Arm Software Engineer interview: presentation, programming and technical depth

The process moved quickly from a recruiter call into a technical screen. I spoke with a hiring-manager-style interviewer, then had several technical interviews. One round combined a presentation and a programming test. The sessions generally moved from my background and previous work into theory, data structures, algorithms and coding.

The interviews were structured but challenging, with both technical and behavioral questions. Sometimes the interviewers explained how they wanted me to think about a problem and why they'd asked it. The schedule became tighter in the later stages. I felt they were trying to understand the depth of my knowledge.

It was moderately competitive and pressured, without feeling hostile. I left knowing which areas mattered to them. I didn't receive an offer; after the expected window following the last round had passed, I had to accept that it wasn't going my way.

Location: South Korea. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
